Uptown Summer Classic
HITS, Inc. and the 300 Club will host the 4th Annual Uptown Summer Classic on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Harlem's Historic Alhambra Ballroom. This year's event features a Vegas style casino themed fundraiser for 500+ New York City young professionals and entrepreneurs, celebrities, and community leaders who will join us to recognize and honor an amazing group of individuals who have achieved success in their fields while demonstrated a commitment to their communities. All proceeds from the event support free college tours for NYC youth. Celebrity hosts and special guests have been invited to share inspirational words with guests and City Councilwoman Inez Dickens will be presenting awards to honorees.

This year HITS, Inc. will be hosting the Michael Richardson Youth College Tour on the campuses of Harvard University in Cambridge, MA and Georgetown University in Washington, DC. This tour exposes middle school students to college and professional career options as a means of inspiring them to set their sights on career opportunities before they enter high school. The Michael Richardson Youth College Tour was established in the name of the late Michael Richardson as one of HITS' premier youth programs. The program is purposed to provide all expense paid college tours for at-risk youth in inner-city communities throughout the United States. Michael Richardson, a co-founder of HITS, Inc. was an incredible leader who had the unique ability to deter young people from self-destructive behaviors by inspiring them to pursue better opportunities through education.
300 Club
The 300 Club is a diverse group of progressive young professionals and entrepreneurs who seek to improve their communities and enhance their lives through volunteerism and social engagement. Each year The 300 Club focuses its fundraising efforts on civic and charitable initiatives. This year, The 300 Club is raising money to support NYC students through the HITS, Inc: Michael Richardson Youth College Tour and they are encouraging young professionals to participate in local and national elections through voter registration drives.
